About GTAVI Countdown

GTAVI Countdown is an independent fan site for players waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI. Alongside the live release countdown, it publishes sourced guides on editions, prices, platforms, official previews, and the events around the launch, in five languages.

The goal is simple: one place where fans can see how long until launch and get verified answers without hunting across social media and rumor threads.

GTAVI Countdown is written and maintained by Alexander Porro Luyo, a web developer and long-time Grand Theft Auto player. He started the site in June 2026 and writes and fact-checks every guide himself.

It is an independent project. It is not run by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, does not speak for them, and has no insider access to unreleased material.

Every guide starts from a primary source: Rockstar Newswire, rockstargames.com/VI, Rockstar Support, Take-Two press releases, and the official PlayStation, Xbox, and Rockstar Store listings. Reporting from established outlets is used for context and always credited in the sources list at the end of each article.

We do not publish, describe, or link leaked or unauthorized material, and rumors are labeled as rumors when they are mentioned at all. No article is sponsored, and the site takes no commission on game sales.

When Rockstar changes a date, a price, or a platform, the affected guides are revised and show an "Updated" date under the title. The countdown, calendar files, and release section follow the official date.

If you spot an error, write to the address on the Contact page with a link to the official source. Verified corrections are applied as soon as possible.
